Think you’ve got a dish that can wow a crowd? Whether it’s a bold savory bite or an irresistible sweet treat, we want to see your culinary artistry shine. Bring one dish… or two! Just make sure your creation features at least two of our star ingredients: bourbon, bacon, and butter.

Registration for Shelby County residents will be available on Monday, February 2. General registration will open on Monday, March 2.

The Bourbon, Bacon and Butter Bakeoff - Sweet and Savory is the culinary focus of WILD about Shelbyville Arts & Music Festival. Registrants face off with classic local ingredients as they enter a sweet or savory treat for public judging. 

Please remember to include at least two of the three ingredients in your entry – bourbon, bacon or butter! 

Entry categories are either a sweet or a savory treat.  You may enter one or more of each!

You will need to provide 50-75 “bite size” pieces of your entry for public tasting.  

Location information provided soon! Doors will open to the public at 2:00 pm. Winners will be announced at 3:00 pm.

Prizes will be awarded for guest-judged best sweet entry, guest-judged best savory entry, public-judged best sweet entry, public-judged best savory entry and overall best entry.

You will need to bring utensils to cut and serve your entry.  We will provide small paper plates, small bowls, napkins, and forks. 

You may complete a small setup of your assigned area prior to 1:30 pm (you may arrive as early as 1 pm; which is when we will be setting up.)

You are encouraged to stay by your entry to answer questions and talk about your treat.  We prefer you stay until after the winners are announced and then begin your cleanup around 3:30 pm.

There is no cost to enter contest.
