Banner Contest 2024 (3)
Shelby Main Street is passionate about downtown beautification and continues to focus on a Master Arts Plan to enhance physical and visual assets that set the commercial district apart. We are excited to bring another local component to the district and hope to make this an annual or biannual project.
The contest is open to all ages of Shelby County residents and those who work in the County. More than one entry per artist is allowed. There is no cost to enter.
Our theme is Downtown Shelbyville, Beautiful, Vibrant and Historic. The artwork can be made of your media choice. Digital art must be of a high resolution, print ready and a minimum of 150 dpi. Final artwork will be 2' x 3' and hung vertically, so the piece should be scalable to those dimensions.
Artwork is to be submitted to Shelby Main Street by Friday, September 20, 2024. Based on art medium, work may be emailed to admin@ShelbyMainStreet.com or dropped off at 414 Sixth Street, Shelbyville, KY 40065.
A total of 13 pieces will be chosen by a community vote and displayed on lampposts on Main, Washington and cross streets. Artwork that is not chosen will be featured at Sixth and Main Coffeehouse at a later date.
Artwork will not be returned and will become the property of Shelby Main Street.
