Due to the recent extreme heat, we’ve made the decision to postpone Sidewalk Sleuths: A Shelby Main Street Scavenger Hunt for the safety and comfort of our participants and volunteers.

We’re currently looking at dates in Spring 2026 to reschedule this fun event and will share updates as soon as we have more details.

1. Team Size
   Each team may consist of up to 5 participants. All participants must be 12 years or older and there must be at least one member of the team that is at least 21 years old. 
2. Registration
   Pre-registration is required. Space is limited, so sign up early to secure your spot!
3. Entry Fee
   The cost is $20 per team, regardless of the number of participants.
4. Start Time & Check-In
   Teams must check in at Stargazer Plaza, 612 Main Street, Shelbyville, KY 40065, at 2 pm. All members of the team MUST BE PRESENT at 2 pm.
5. Rules of the Hunt
   • There is no specific order of challenges/hunt locations unless otherwise noted.
   • Teams must always stay together.
   • Be respectful of local businesses and public spaces. Please only use the public restrooms at Stargazer Plaza. We recommend going before the hunt to optimize your hunting time.
   • Do not remove or damage any clue materials.
   • Stay within the designated hunt area. 
6. Safety First
   • Use sidewalks and crosswalks. 
   • Stay aware of your surroundings.
   • The scavenger hunt will involve a moderate amount of physical activity, so be prepared to move around and stay on your feet for over an hour.
   • Drink plenty of water. Hydration Stations will be located throughout the gaming area. 
7. Have Fun!
   This event is all about community, creativity, and fun—so enjoy the adventure! We recommend having fun with your team concept! Themed shirts or colors are always encouraged! (Did you know that Impress Boutique and Printing on Main Street does custom shirt printing?)
